Footnotes
Note: For a discussion and illustration of this form of trap gun see page 109-110 113 in Firearms Curiosa by Lewis Winant. The author states that this type of gun was popular in late 18th and early 19th century England for use against poacher and, supposedly, grave robbers. Its use was forbidden by law in 1827.
