A lot of two incomplete Japanese export swords
late 19th century

Comprising: 1) Slightly curved 18 inch blade, unsigned, no hilt; Elephant ivory scabbard of three sections finely carved in relief, at the top a palace among the clouds, below a lady and children with a dragon, at the base a warrior and children. 2) Slightly curved 19 inch blade, hilt and scabbard on bone with carved and tinted scenes of samurai.
Condition: Blade with light pitting, scabbard excellent. 2) Blade with minor spotting. Lower section of scabbard missing, top of hilt broken.
