A composite main gauche in 17th century style

Straight 16 inch blade with 7 1/2 inch false edge, the spine with decorative notching; ricasso with thumb depression and scalloped rims below two open ring sword breakers and decorated with punched dots with maker's mark on one side. Steel hilt comprising long, straight quillons flaring at the tips and triangular guard; flattened ovoid pommel. Steel wire-wrapped grip with wire turk's heads.
Condition: Grey metal showing scattered light pitting.
