An Italian partizan
16th century

Tapering 31 inch head of diamond section towards the point, the lower half of hollowed on either side of the median ridge; both sides struck with the scorpion mark above the upturned flukes; five inch faceted socket with 7 inch side straps. Now mounted on a 62 inch ebonized haft.
Condition: Showing dark age patina with areas of pitting, the maker's marks worn.
