Footnotes
Vasa or Wasa was a Swedish warship built 1626-1628. The ship foundered and sank after sailing less than a nautical mile into its maiden voyage on 10 August 1628. The ship was rediscovered and raised from the floor of the Stockholm harbor in 1961. The ship has become one of Sweden's most popular tourist attractions.
