Three Letters of Thanks to the Protestant Reconciler ... From the Congregations in New-England ... From the Quakers in Pennsylvania. London: Benjamin Took, 1683.
4to (205 x 150 mm). A-C4 D2. Modern boards. Lacking approximately one third of title page, A2 and C4 with loss to blank margin, D2 heavily dust-soiled, one or two other marginal tears.
Provenance: M.H. Walker? (indistinct period ownership inscription on title).
Daniel Whitby [1637/8–1726] issued in November 1682 a pamphlet entitled Protestant Reconciler, Humbly Pleading for Condescention to Dissenting Brethren, in which he argued that certain strictly-imposed ceremonies were creating a schism in the Church and should be abolished. Wing T1098.
Loosely inserted is a 4-page disbound small folio resolution listing The Rates of the Excise or New-Impost ... on the Several Commodities Imported (London: Edward Field for Edward Husband, 1649), paginated 639-642 pp.
