Title pages printed in red and black, additional hand-colored title in volume 1. 3 frontispiece illustrations (including one colored) in each of volumes 1-50, additional plate illustrations throughout, captioned tissue guards. Three-quarter black levant morocco bound at the Riverside Press, raised bands, spines gilt ruled and lettered, four gilt tooled tartan devices in spine panels, top edge gilt. Adhesive residue from bookplates to some endpapers, some rubbing to joints, corners, and spine ends and bands.
