Large 4to (347 x 259 mm). [2], lxxvi, [4], 86 pp. Engraved dedication, numerous engraved initials and engraved tail-pieces depicting royal seals. Period calf gilt. A little offsetting and toning, binding dry with spine and corners chipped.

FIRST EDITION, LARGE COPY. Blackstone was the first to introduce the numbering system that is still used for the articles of the Magna Carta. The lengthy introduction is Blackstone's invaluable history of the charter. Rothschild 406.
