24 volumes only (of 25, wanting the final volume). Engraved general titles, frontispieces, and plates. Original green cloth, paper spine labels, t.e.g. Library inkstamps to titles, frontispieces and occasionally elsewhere, a few tipped-in library bookplates, vol 24 and front of vol 23 foxed and with waterstains, spines slightly faded and rubbed.
Provenance: Bertha Johnson (bookplates designed by Edith Stansbury).
