4 volumes. 8vo (166 x 99 mm). Original green cloth, spine titles gilt, black borders to covers. Custom cloth folder and morocco backed slipcase. Mild bumping to spine ends, minor staining to upper board and front pastedown vol 3, 2 hinges cracked, light wear to extremities.
Provenance: F. Rowlandson; Edward M. Forster; W.J. Kensettle(?) (period ownership signatures in vols 1, 2, and 3, respectively).

FIRST EDITION. Arabic numerals on spine of volumes 1,2, and 4; Roman numerals on volume 3. An attractive copy, with a clipped signature of Browning tipped to verso of f.f.e.p. vol 1.
