Large 4to. Printed in black and red. Full-page woodcut title, facing page with full woodcut border; numerous 6- to 8-line woodcut initials and partial borders. Original full vellum, spine gilt-lettered, three ribbon ties. One tie torn, touch of wear to spine, 2 leaves lightly foxed.
Provenance: H. Buxton Forman ("Shelley" bookplate, very few pencil notes, presumably his, including an acquisition date of 1896).
ONE OF 300 COPIES, FORMAN'S COPY. This was the first book that was published and sold at the Kelmscott Press in addition to being printed there. Peterson A15.
