Includes a number of papers relating to the American colonies, such as Alexander Gardner's discovery of a new plant in Charleston (called "Gardenia" in his honor) and Cadwallader Evans' "Relation of a Cure Performed by Electricity" which he achieved with the help of Benjamin Franklin.
