5 parts in one volume. Folio (450 x 270 mm). Text in French. Engraved title, double-page engraved portrait of Mercator and Hondius, double-page double-hemisphere world map, 4 engraved divisional titles, 156 engraved maps (all but one double-page). Early 19th century calf. Browned, title trimmed and laid down with loss at lower right corner, dedication likewise, first few text leaves, double-portrait, and double-hemisphere torn or repaired with loss, one France map trimmed touching neatline, 3 European maps repaired at fore-edge, a Switzerland map cropped, faint waterstain at margin of last few leaves, possibly lacking an index leaf or two, binding very worn.

This edition in French has been slightly enlarged, with the addition of a few maps relating to France. Koeman II Me 26A.
