2 volumes. Folio (414 x 249 mm). [14], lxvii, 862, [14]; [6], 928, 56, [12] pp. Subscribers list. 9 engraved maps (4 folding and 5 double page) and 22 (of 23) engraved plates, including 2 frontispieces (lacking the portrait of Drake). Period calf, raised bands, gilt devices in spine panels, morocco labels to spines. Some dampstaining to margins, title and frontispiece of vol 1 tipped in, old dampstain to corner of folding chart, large folding world map torn at gutter and rebacked, folding map of the Americas detached, a few leaves starting in vol 2, boards scuffed and edgeworn, one board detached and the others starting.

FIRST EDITION, "valuable for the original impressions of the fine series of maps by Herman Moll, including a very good one of America" (Hill 774). Sabin 30482.
