Mammotrectus super Bibliam. Venice: Nicolaus Jenson, September 23, 1479. 4to (210 x 142 mm). 259 leaves (of 260, lacking first leaf, Prologue): a8 (-a1) b-y8 1-68 710 A10 B-C8. Double column, gothic type. Rubricated throughout with paragraph marks, large lombard initials and capital strokes in red. Modern blindstamped full calf to style, early leather index tabs preserved. Lacking first text leaf, but the text supplied in period manuscript on two vellum leaves (3 pp) with two large initials in blue and red; occasional toning, C8 trimmed with loss of lower margin.
Provenance: partially erased monastic inscription dated 1498; 19th century inkstamp of the Georg-August-Universität, Göttingen.
