Small 4to (189 x 132 mm). [8], 100, [2] pp. Modern full limp reddish-brown morocco, spine lettered in gilt. Gutter margin of first signature reinforced, title soiled, light dampstain to upper corner of first 5 leaves, fore-edge margin occasionally trimmed close, briefly affecting printed marginalia in several leaves, some faint foxing, binding with general wear.
Provenance: Esoterika Biblion Society (bookplates).

FIRST EDITION of this extremely rare discourse on wife beating. We can find only a small handful of copies in public institutions. Wing V163.
