Folio (341 x 221 mm). [16], 279, [3] p. Errata. 2 engraved allegorical titles by Guillaume Vallet after Marattus and Vannius, woodcut initials. Period vellum, raised bands, manuscript spine titles. Period annotation to title, scattered foxing, first signature shaken, tear to head of spine, minor worming to spine.
Provenance: Bernardine Murphy (bookplate).

FIRST EDITION of this collection of lives of the saints and citizens of Siena. The dedication is to Alexander VII, who served as Pope from 1655 until his death in 1667.
