8vo (168 x 115 mm). 552 leaves: A10 a-zz8 A-P8 1-48 510. Signature 1 bound following signature 2. Double column, index triple column, gothic type, space for initials, sidenotes in inner and outer margins. Woodcut on title depicting St. Peter with the keys to heaven. Period stamped calf, manuscript pastedown endpapers. Cloth chemise and slipcase. Early annotations throughout, small tear to head of title, remnants of label to foot of same, minor worming to covers and pastedowns.

SECOND OCTAVO BIBLE AND THE FIRST BIBLE WITH ILLUSTRATION ON TITLE. This is also the first bible to feature the "Tabula alphabetica historiarum Bibliae," an alphabetical table of contents compiled by Gabriel Bruno in 1489. Reference has been made to a folio edition by the same printer issued in the same year, also featuring the woodcut and table, however no such edition is recorded in ISTC.
