8vo (196 x 136 mm). 340 leaves: a8 b-z6 A-Q6 R4. Double column, gothic type, space for initials with guide letters. Large woodcut of Saint Bernardino on title page, large publisher device at end of volume. Calf-backed vellum boards. Title excised from title page with repair to verso, blank margin of one leaf trimmed, old dampstaining throughout, a few early anotations, binding cracked, spine heavily chipped.
Provenance: Property of a California educational institution.

FIRST EDITION of the collected sermons of Bernardino of Sienna, with a large woodcut of the Franciscan preacher on the title.
