with four shelves, supported by five brackets and edged by carved openwork lattice surrounds, the shelves decorated in gilt and polychrome with fanciful imagery including an enthroned div with attendants, Vishnu reclining on the multi-headed serpent Sheshnag with Shiva seated on a tiger skin above, a Sikh durbar scene, a Persian prince with consort, all on a dense floral background, the brackets and surrounds with scrolling floral vines
