the vases of various forms, on short circular bases and everted rims, with engraved and overlaid floral decoration; the ewer with globular body on spreading foot, short curved spout and serpentine handle, hinged domed lid with bud-shaped finial, engraved decoration comprising linked palmettes and narrow bands of scrolling vines; the mirror case of octagonal form, separate lid, central calligraphic lobed medallion flanked by palmettes within narrow borders containing inscriptions; the bowl on short foot, with flaring rim, champlevé decoration comprising central frieze of floral motifs in roundels with a narrow band of scrolling floral vine above and suspended palmettes below

The inscriptions on the mirror case include invocations to God, Prophet Muhammad and the Twelve Imams, and the date AH 1294/ AD 1877-8.
