Three engraved brass Ewers
India, 18th - 19th Century

of bulbous form; the first on circular stepped foot, the spiral-fluted body rising to a facetted neck surmounted by bud-shaped finial attached with chain, the short curved spout terminating in an animal head; the second on circular splayed foot, profusely decorated with repetitive leaf pattern and scrolling vines on a hatched ground, hinged lid with finial, serpentine spout and handle; the third on short circular foot, decorated to body with engraved floral design, rising to neck with scale pattern, flaring rim with chevron pattern on the inside, with short tapering spout
