Arabic manuscript on paper, 266 leaves, 37 lines to the page written in small maghribi script in dark brown ink, significant words and headings picked out in red, brown, green and blue, or written in bolder script, inner margins ruled in red, catchwords, commentaries written horizontally in maghribi script in wide outer borders, worming, waterstaining, some crude repairs, contemporary brown morocco gilt, covers with stamped central medallions decorated with arabesques and floral motifs, binding detached, extensive worming, spine defective, 284 x 205 mm.; and seven loose folios from a dispersed Arabic manuscript on European watermarked paper, Near East, 16th-17th Century
