Persian manuscript on paper, 15 lines to the page written in two columns of elegant nasta'liq script in black ink, double intercolumnar rules in gold, inner margins ruled in gold, some tears, slightly rubbed, discoloration, framed
144 x 80 mm. and slightly smaller(4)

Footnotes

The illustrations, which have not been fully traced, depict:
Men on their way to Mecca for pilgrimage dying of thirst even when they are offered water by a passer-by because there is not enough for all, and each man offers it to another. The story reflects the recommendations for Hajj concerning unity among pilgrims and care for one's companions.
The story of a man working in a bath-house seeing a prince and falling in love with him.
A prince hunting for quails, coming across an injured man.
A hunter, his hound and two old foxes.
