Arabic manuscript on paper, 49 leaves, 19 lines to the page written in a cursive script in black ink, significant words and sentences picked out in red, heading written in a bolder script outlined in red, edges frayed, creased, some waterstaining, some crude repairs, modern aubergine-coloured leather with stamped central medallions decorated with intertwining floral motifs and arabesques, 194 x 129 mm.; and Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Halabi, Ghinayat al-Mutamali fi sharh minyat al-musali, a treatise on prayer, Ottoman, provincial, written at Constantinople, dated Monday 1st Muharram 923/23rd January 1517, Arabic manuscript on paper, 205 leaves, 21 lines to the page written in cursive script in black ink, significant sentences underlined in red, commentaries written horizontally and diagonally in wide outer borders, catchwords, edges frayed, some soiling and waterstaining, brown morocco with flap, crudely repaired
