rectangular, the red ground embroidered in metal thread, the upper field with a large calligraphic roundel with two smaller roundels below, all against a trailing vine design, the centre with a band of bold thuluth inscription, the lower half with a tughra surrounded by leafy stems, the outer border with an interlocking vine, backed
