Arabic manuscript on paper, 15 leaves, 13 lines to the page written in naskhi script in black ink, gold dots between verses, inner margins ruled in red and gold, some catchwords in wide outer margins, numerous circular seal impressions incorporating as-Shahadah, illuminated frontispiece in the rococo style in colours and gold, corners badly thumbed, folio after flyleaf at beginning left blank, dark brown morocco gilt, covers decorated with floral sprays painted in gold, doublures and flyleaves of blue paper embossed with a vine pattern, edges frayed, with flap
177 x 118 mm.

Footnotes

An Arabic inscription on the last folio mentions the name of as-Sayyid as-Shaykh al-Haj Muhammad Nuri, who was probably the owner of this prayer book and a member of the Naqshbandi order.
