Arabic manuscript on paper, 125 leaves, 11 lines to the page written in elegant naskhi script in black ink, gold roundels decorated with red and blue dots between verses, inner margins ruled in red and gold, catchwords, explanatory notes written diagonally in outer margins, headings written in thuluth in white within gold cartouches incorporated within illuminated rectangular panels, each of the 201 names of the Prophet incorporated within an illuminated hexagon, and each panel of these resembling a tiled wall, two illuminated headpieces in colours and gold, in good condition, contemporary dark brown morocco with central medallions and cornerpieces decorated with stylised serrated leaves and arabesques in gold on a green ground, doublures and flyleaves of green paper gilt, with flap, in slipcase
