Five line inscription:

[ama]ra bi-hadh[a]/[al-qi-]st 'abd Al[lah/Hi]sham Amir al-mu'/[minin] sanat [...]

"Ordered this/ qist the Servant of God/ Hisham, Commander of the Faith-/ ful, in the year..."

The inscription presents non-Egyptian characteristics like the usage bi-hadha unknown in Egypt. Morton wrote in a note with this piece "No other stamp of this kind is published".
