of rectangular form, with circular boss to centre containing raised thuluth inscription, painted at a later date
32 x 24 cm.

Inscriptions: 'izz li-mawlana al-sultan al-malik al-ashraf/abu'l-nasr qaytbai/'azza nasrahu; 'Glory to our Lord, the Sultan, al-Malik al-Ashraf Abu'l-Nasr Qaytbai, may God glorify his victory'.

The ruler al-Ashraf Abu al-Nasr Qaytbai (r. 1468–96) was the last great sultan of the Mamluk dynasty before it was replaced by the Ottomans in 1517.
