An inscribed stone casting Mould
Persia, 12th Century

the mould area to interior of circular form with three grooved passages joining at the rim, to the central well an inscription band of naskhi, surrounded by a band of a repeating verticals, and to rim inscription bands alternating with eight-petalled rosettes, two holes drilled to edge

Inscription: al-sa'ada al-sala/ma wa al-iqbal/wa al-ijlal/al-siyada al-qa'ima "Happiness, well-being and prosterity and honouring and perpetual dominion"; to the well: amal darvish raziq(?) bin hujjat aqa "Work of Darvish Raziq (?) bin Hujjat Aqa".
