probably provincial Ottoman, dated AH 1029/AD 1619-20

of flat rounded form with long waisted neck, profusely engraved with bands containing stylised figural pseudo inscription on a ground of foliate interlace variously interspersed by; a band of rectangular cartouches containing roundels with seated confronting quadrupeds, flanked by further quadrupeds confronting dragon heads; a band of inscription in thuluth; and a band containing two rows of palmette motifs

The inscription reads: 'al-faqir abu'l-baqa al-hasani al-musawi 1029'; the needy Abu'l-Baqa al-Hasani al-Musawi 1029 (1619-20)).
