of deep rounded form with everted rim on a short flared foot, the rim engraved with a band of pole medallions terminating in palmettes interspersed by quatrefoil motifs, one medallion containing inscription, the body with an undulating rope design, the interstices with alternating cartouches and quatrefoil motifs each with two palmette pendants, the interior of rim with two medallions containing owner's inscriptions, one crossed out
26.6 cm. diam.
