A pair of large Khorasan bronze Vases
Persia, 12th Century

with fluted pear-shaped body, flaring neck and on a splayed high foot, all sections incised with cartouches of kufic inscriptions and pursuant animals
each approx. 33.5 cm. high(2)

Inscriptions: possibly a repeat of al-'afiya wa al-daw[la], 'Health and Wealth'.
