PHOTOGRAPH OF A MOSAIC INCLUDING THE AREA BEING EXPLORED BY THE CURIOSITY ROVER. The image shows a belt completely encircling Mars, and covering about half of the planet's surface. Gale Crater, where the Curiosity rover landed, is towards one corner.
