A Mughal-style white jade 'butterfly' bowl
Late Qing dynasty
Of hexagonal lobed form, the exterior shaped into twelve steep barbed walls all decorated with a leaf panel intricately worked with exotic birds and animals, flanked at the sides with a pair of loose rings issuing from elaborate butterfly handles worked in high relief, the interior intricately worked with a five-petalled flower and scrolling foliage forming a quatrelobed floral pattern, all raised on three short trefoil feet, the translucent stone of a pale icy white colour.

清晚期 痕都斯坦式白玉蝶耳活環盌
玉質青白，輕薄透亮。盌菱口，斜腹，下承三足。器身成十二辦花菱狀，外壁每一面作葉形開光，葉脈精雕而出，開光內雕瑞獸及鸚鵡，盌內底部雕纏枝番蓮紋。器身兩側鏤雕花蝶耳，耳下掉活環。此玉盌玉質瑩潤，輕薄精巧，所雕動物圖案具有明顯的西域風格。
痕都斯坦玉器，是乾隆年皇帝對17至18世紀位於今北印度和巴基斯坦地區莫臥兒帝國和土耳其奧斯曼帝國生產玉器的稱呼。因其造型奇特、胎薄如紙、工藝精細而深受皇室所愛。更多有關痕玉的信息，請參看本次拍賣第206號拍品。
