The makers have kindly confirmed that gun no. 17542 was completed in 1902 and gun no. 18040 in 1905 and that the guns were made to match in 1964 and probably restocked as well. Gun no. 17542 had replacement barrels in 1976 as did gun no. 18040 in 1992
