An 1822 Pattern Officer's Sword Of The Rifle Volunteers

With bright slightly curved fullered blade in fine condition and etched over half its length on each side with crossed flags and branches of laurel and oak, on one side with a slung bugle beyond, a crown above, and on the other with 'Rifle Volunteers', a crown beyond, regulation pierced iron hilt incorporating an engraved crowned slung bugle, stepped pommel and back-piece in one, and wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, in its steel scabbard (some pitting overall, minor dent on one side) with two rings for suspension
