A Turkish 20-Bore Silver-Mounted Flintlock Holster Pistol In The English Manner
19th Century

With three-stage barrel engraved with a crescent and inscribed 'London' along the top flat at the breech, engraved tang, border engraved flat bevelled lock (cock retaining screw, top jaw and screw replaced) signed 'Beckwith' and decorated with a martial trophy on the tail, semi-rainproof pan and roller, full stock profusely inlaid with silver wire scrollwork (some losses), mounts (escutcheon missing) cast and chased with trophies within foliate borders and comprising side-plate, spurred pommel with cap, trigger-guard and ramrod-pipes, horn fore-end cap, and later wooden ramrod (some wear and rust patination overall)
