With two-stage sighted barrel with slightly flared muzzle and retained by six shaped brass barrel bands each chased with foliage either side of a central band of ropework, octagonal breech lightly engraved with foliage and struck with a barrelsmith's mark on the top flat behind the back-sight, engraved tang, characteristic lightly engraved lock, full stock of characteristic form almost entirely covered in panels engraved with designs of foliage, the fore-end with rectangular piercings, slender 'fish-tail' butt (minor damage) en suite and mounted along each side with shaped brass panels pierced and engraved with foliage, and set with small red glass beads and mother-of-pearl roundels (some missing), engraved iron trigger-guard with slender tang, two iron suspension rings, and original iron ramrod with turned baluster tip (some wear and rust patination overall)
