A Turkish Breast-Plate (Krug)
Late 15th/Early 16th Century

Comprising a circular central plate and five smaller shaped plates attached to it by riveted iron rings (two plates and the rings attaching them restorations), the main plate with flat central boss bordered by radiating flutes and incised with the Ottoman (St. Irene) arsenal mark above the boss (some rust patination, leather straps and buckles replaced)
