With three-stage cannon barrels numbered '1' and '2' respectively, breeches numbered to correspond and each engraved 'London', signed beneath the steel-spring (one replaced) and with a band of foliage behind, waisted border engraved tangs decorated with foliage, border engraved actions (defective, cocks fractured, top of one cock missing, top jaw and screw replaced), sliding trigger-guard safety-catches each engraved with a flower-head on the bow, swelling figured butts (one with minor split) each carved in low relief with a shell behind the barrel tang, cast and chased silver mounts comprising pierced foliate side-plates each involving a grotesque head and centred on a vacant cartouche, and grotesque mask butt-caps (iron parts russet overall), London proof marks and maker's mark (2)
