With broad curved blade fullered over half its length to the point within incised lines on each side, and decorated with gold-damascened meandering foliage along one side in front of the yelman, the forte on one side with faint traces of three gold-damascened panels containing the Declaration of Faith in thuluth script, hilt comprising russet quillon-block (loose) damascened in gold on both sides with a diamond-shaped panel of Arabic calligraphy within a scrollwork border, pointed langets and faceted bud-shaped quillons, gold-damascened grip-strap, and rounded rhinoceros horn grips, the pommel pierced for a sword-knot, in original textile-covered wooden scabbard with deep russet locket (langet mount missing on one side), chape and shaped suspension mounts gold-damascened with Arabic inscriptions in praise of the Sultan, the latter with two rings for suspension (some wear and rust patination)
