A .44 Remington New Model Army Percussion Revolver
No. 65307, Circa 1863-75

With octagonal sighted barrel stamped 'Patented Sept. 14. 1858 E. Remington & Sons. Ilion New York, U.S.A. New-Model', plain cylinder, frame with sighting groove, rammer, brass trigger-guard, and rounded grips (both repaired beneath), the left one stamped with inspector's mark, the right one scratched with later owner's initials over the date '1920' (russet overall with some light pitting and minor bruising)
