The first with octagonal sighted barrel stamped 'American Bull Dog' on the top flat, frame with grooved top-strap for sighting and hinged loading-gate, fluted cylinder, 'square'-shaped butt with chequered hard-rubber grips each with central dog's head, trigger-guard, and retaining much of its original nickel-plated finish; the second with sighted barrel, frame stamped 'British Boxer' on the top-strap, hinged loading-gate, trigger-guard, bird's head butt with chequered wooden grips, and much original nickel-plated finish (some rust damage, particulary along the barrel) (2)
