With octagonal sighted barrel retaining traces of blueing and stamped with 'Connecticut Arms & Manuf'g Co. Naubuc Conn' along the top flat, shaped breech-block pivoting to the left for loading and stamped 'Patented Oct. 25. 1864', chequered release-button also forming the back-sight, rounded action, spur trigger, and partly chequered rounded gutta-percha grips
