No. 1224, Mid-19th Century

With twist octagonal sighted polygroove rifled barrel, foliate scroll engraved breech and tang, the latter incorporating an adjustable back-sight, flat detented back-action lock decorated with foliage, figured half-stock carved with symmetrical foliage behind the tang, chequered grip and ovoidal pommel with fluted border, steel mounts comprising flat ovoidal pommel-plate, spur trigger-guard decorated with foliage, and later steel ramrod (barrel-bolt replaced, some wear overall), Liège proof
