A Rare South Indian Sword

With sharp tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, iron hilt with pointed projection over each side of the forte and secured by a transverse rivet, upcurved guard of ovoidal form, globular pommel on a scrolled mount, and ribbed grip of circular section with central moulding (surface rust and light pitting overall)
