A Miniature Wheel-Lock Holster Pistol In German Late 16th Century Style

With swamped two-stage barrel, octagonal breech, non-functioning flat lock with circular wheel-retaining bracket and sliding pan-cover, figured full stock inlaid with white horn dots and silver wire scrollwork, ball-pommel en suite between silver-inlaid lines, iron trigger-guard, incised white horn fore-end cap, and horn-tipped ramrod; together with a brass-mounted powder-flask in Italian late 16th Century style, with wooden body of curved tapering form, the mounts etched with strapwork and foliage including pinned side panels each centred on an embossed oval decorated with Romulus and Remus, the nozzle-mount with a spurious maker's mark (2)
