Mid-18th Century, The Mounts Struck With French Hare's Head Mark For 1819-1838
With bag-shaped body made in two pieces, decorated in silver piqué on one side with a hound pursueing a stag in a wooded landscape, and on the other with a similar scene of a hound pursueing a boar, encircled by a reeded strap chased with a medial line of cross-hatching, top mount en suite and engraved with trellising and foliage, plain nozzle with cap engraved en suite with the top mount, two rings for suspension, and in fine condition retaining all its gilding
